This four-part seminar series will present the basics of grounding and bonding based on the 2020 NEC. The sessions will be broken down as follows:

  • February 2nd (Registration closed), Introduction, The History of Grounding & The Language of Grounding and Bonding
  • February 4th, (Registration closed) General Fundamentals – To Ground or Not to Ground
  • February 9th, (Registration closed) Grounding Electrical Systems – Clearing Ground Faults and Short Circuits
  • February 11th, (Registration closed) Ground Fault Protection & National Grid Update


Instruction will be given by Michael J. Miers, Sr.. Mike is and International Instructor of Electrical Programs for National Technology Transfer of Denver, Colorado. He also is a Senior Electrical Inspector for New York Atlantic-Inland Electrical Inspection Agency, as well as the “Empire Chapter” IAEI Educational Chairman. In addition, Mike is a Nationally Certified Electrical Code Inspector and MSHA Part 48 5000-23 Certified.
